Text Box: On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government implemented the full requirements of the land and sea phase of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI). The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the Department of Homeland Security.

Passport fees are the same in each community. Effective July 13, 2010 For persons 16 years old and older, there is a $110.00 fee payable by check or money order to the U.S. Department of State and a $25.00 execution fee payable by cash or check to Cheyenne County District Court. Passport fees for children 15 years old and under include a $80.00 fee payable by check or money order to the U.S. Department of State and a $25.00 execution fee payable by cash or check to Cheyenne County District Court. Passport card fees are $30.00 for an adult 16 years old and older and $15.00 for children 15 years old and under, in addition to a $25.00 execution fee payable to Cheyenne County District Court. The requirements and validity for a Passport Card are the same as for a U.S. Passport.

NOTE: Valid passports are required for children of every age.
